Planes

Locust Valley is about 25 miles (and 45 minutes) from John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

From LGA, taking an Uber or Lyft to Locust Valley is easiest (driving directions here). From JFK, you can either Uber or Lyft (driving directions here) or take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station to pick up the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

Trains

From Penn Station, you can take the LIRR to Locust Valley via the Oyster Bay line. You can find train times on the LIRR website or through the LIRR TrainTime app. Note that most trains to Locust Valley require a transfer at Jamaica Station.

Uber and Lyft both operate in Locust Valley, but please allow for at least a 15 minute wait time. Alternatively, you can reserve a local taxi through Mid Island Taxi (516-671-0707) or Arena Taxi (516-671-1848).

Automobiles

If you are willing to take on the expressway, Locust Valley is about 30 miles from New York City. It’s pretty much a straight shot down I-495, for driving directions, please see here.

Lastly, word on the street is that there *should* be a ferry running from midtown Manhattan (34th Street) to Locust Valley / Glen Cove by the time our wedding rolls around. We’ll update this page if and when this is running — fingers crossed!
